1978 marked Corvette's 25th year. That same year, a Corvette took its first turn as the official pace car of the Indianapolis 500 auto race. To honor the occasion, Corvette issued a 62nd Indy 500 Pace Car Replica. This special edition had a black upper body and a silver metallic lower body, front and rear spoilers and alloy wheel. M&C Vehicle Trimming replaced the complete floor carpet including door trims and seat backs on one of those special editions. The automotive cutpile carpet is an exact match to the original material and the original colour '1804 Silver'.
